IMD Weather Update: The situation of cold and fog in North India remains the same. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in North India for the next 4-5 days. Apart from this, there are chances of severe cold day conditions continuing for the next three days. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region on January 25.
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of frost on the ground at different places in Uttarakhand on January 23. Dense fog is expected for a few hours during the morning and night till January 27 in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog in different parts of Rajasthan till January 26 in the morning and in different parts of Madhya Pradesh for a few hours at night and in the morning.
Cold day to severe cold conditions in North India
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of cold day to severe cold day conditions in some parts of Punjab and Haryana on January 23. There is a possibility of cold day to severe cold day till January 26 in many parts of Uttar Pradesh.
There will be severe cold conditions in different parts of North Rajasthan from 23-24 January as cold day. According to IMD, cold day to severe cold day conditions are expected in different parts of Bihar on January 23.
Chances of rain in Chhattisgarh and Telangana
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland on January 23. There are chances of cold wave in some places of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh on January 23. There is a possibility of rain in Chhattisgarh and Telangana in the next 3-4 days.
